Belt Changing on 03' Corolla

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to change the Belt on 2003 Toyota Corolla S? I'm sure most of you know that the engine has timing chain and only one belt that turn eveything else. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Usually the alternator is on an adjustable bracket that you loosen up to remove the belt. Not sure about the corolla.

You need a special tool to release the tensioner. Don't know if it is available at auto parts store. (should be) The belt can be changed in a matter of seconds. If you DIY I would make a diagram first.

HI Vick. You dont need a special tool to do this job. I did aunts belt 3 weeks ago and I believe i used a rachet and a socket. It was very easy. All you have to do is turn the tensioner in the direction that it releases the tension and take the belt off. It is real easy.
