$300 to gain some hp...

hi guys, i have around $300 to spend on my 05 Corolla S automatic. what are some parts i can get in order to gain some hp? or an alternative is simply to make my rolla sound louder, not a farting sound, but a nice deep sound. any suggestions? post link if possible. thanks =)

you should get manual to start with if you want more control, response, and speed...

with the money you saved plus the 300 dollars, you could do a lot more

The first one is a real COLD AIR INTAKE, while the second one is not. I think it is worth the $70 or so to get a CAI. Won't give you a lot of hp, but it'll help a little and it will sound cool.

ya the second one is a short ram, youll just be sucking in hot engine bay air...
stock would perform better, but the ram sounds cool.

Im with Ostornadoe, go with the real CAI, itll give a bit of power AND sound cool

look for buy/sell forum and see what u can find first. Some are new or used but it depends on what your looking for. New or used, if it has a good price and doesn't break me, i'm on it.

let your engine breathe first. try bolting in a set of headers / large diameter downpipe. That should give you a deep sound and faster throttle response since there would be less restrictions on your exhaust. Don't go for "tuning" mufflers a.k.a fart cans and since you are driving an automatic, it wouldn't sound cool.

The first ebay link you posted is a decent one.

I agree 100% with Ukrainian. That is probably the best one for you.
