a turbo is basically powered by exhaust gasses and a supercharger is powered by a belt in your pulley system. There are upsides and downsides to both setups. Both are great, it just depends on what you are looking for.
Superchargers steal a little power from your motor because of the added work put on it, and turbos have "lag" because it takes a few thousand rpm to "kick in". Superchargers are instant power from the moment you stomp the pedal, but usually Turbo's have more overall HP potential. This thread could go on and on since this is one of the largest discussions in the tuner community (which one is better).
