USA Bad Gas Mileage on 2003 Corolla S

Hello all,

I have a 2003 Corolla S with 30K miles. Runs great, its just does not give me good gas mileage. I get 20 to 21 m/g in the city and 27 highway. My driving habbits are fine, drive nice and slow, according to the speed limit. Air filter is brand new and plugs are clean (no need to change). The only thing I'm thinking is the fuel filter. But please give me your thoughts, how to improve the gas mileage.

Thanks all

Drive a little harder.. maybe the car needs to get some "love" if you know what I mean.

Vick, have you ever noticed a rotten egg kind of smell from your car. Have someone else drive it and follow behind it and see if you smell any rotten egg smell. Seems like you could have a plugged catalyst problem.

fuel filter wouldnt matter at all in your fuel economy. 21mpg doesnt sound too bad in fuel economy.
