Brake pressure

I have extra pressure in my brake system, so much that the brakes are draging (all of them evenly). I have replace the master cylinder, both front rubber brake lines, and one front cylinder. All 4 cylinders are working perfectly. The increased pressure makes the brake pedal stiff as heck and is there most of the time but on occasion will vanish and my brakes are back to normal. It started occassionaly and is now there most of the time. If the power boster was faulty I would be loosing pressure...right?

The brake booster doesnt affect the pressure inside the brakelines, it wouldn assist in pressing the piston down, so brakes would feel really stiff. I doubt you'd have "too much" pressure inside the system, because theres no way you'd add more pressure than the piston would produce.

If the thru rod in the booster is sticking, pressure will remain on all the brakes as described. Make sure the pedal is not the culprit first.
