question

if the gas line is frozen will the car jerk???

If your gas line is frozen then we have a bigger problem than your car! The laws of Physics have failed!! Everyone, run for your lives!

J/K... gas doesnt freeze, so its something else. Possibly your a/f ratio is off, you need higher octane fuel, or some cleaner additives for starters.

Actually, he said his gas line freeze, not his gas. Gas lines absolutely do freeze, and it's usually associated with water in the tank. It's definitely a problem in cold climates, but one that can be fixed with a propane heater, a garage, and a few bottles of heat.

hmmm.. my car used to jerk before and I've noticed that after I did the spark plugs the jerking went away. Another thing I could think its dirty fuel filter. My old civic used to jerk too and eventually I developed a fuel leak because the fuel filter was so clogged. After the fuel filter change the car ran fine.

well i dunno.. my GTS hatch is acting up in the past week......
when the car is really cold the car doesnt jerk as much. but when the motor gets warmer it gets worst.....
iv changed the spark plug and the fuel filter still doin the same thing....

n other question is..... they said theres sumthin wrong with my TPS.... just wonderknow... u know where the Throttle is... and theres a little spring (4AGE) that's kinda missing..... do u think that MIGHT b the problem?????

who is "they"? And what do you mean by a spring "kinda" missing, so its half missing? Shows up once in awhile? Are you talking about the throttle cable return spring, hooked on the thorttle cable bracket?

ya i believe that's wut its called.... the little spring to hook on to the thorttle body and makes the thorttle body return back to its own place....... that's missin will that make the car jerk??
i looked at the junk yars and they dun have ne and i called toyota they sell that spring WITH the thorttle body... and i dun need the whole thing....
