Civic Hatch coilovers on my Ae86

Hey all, i saw this early 90s civic HB with coilovers in a junkyard and was wondering if i could use those things on my 86...i dont know much, but i have installed springs before.

I mean, both cars are have similar sized shocks in front and rear (coilovers could get adjusted around 4inches) and both cars are relatively as heavy. What do you think?

i've heard about this coilover swap b4. but i think you need to weld stuff for the rears to work. my buddy did a coilover from a civic into a starlet and it works like a charm. btw, he's using AE86 front and rearend parts.

don't they make coilovers for the 86? im assuming that ur asking because the ones from a honda can be obtained cheaper, but if not, the cost of getting them, then welding/modifying them is probably gonna come close to what it would cost you to buy new coilovers made for the 86.

This thread is from Jan 2005. I'm pretty sure the OP's problem is resolved.

thanks for all the help guys...CIVIC coilovers do fit on a custom welded perch, but there will be a tiny spacing between the strut and the sleeve with can be fixed with o-rings..not recommended, get paradiseracing.....now kill the thread jeje ty.
