Is blue mirror corner light legal?

I'm thinking of purchasing a set of carbon fiber M3 style side mirrors for my 03 corolla. Here's what it looks like:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33649

I know it can change to white or whatever, but what I'm really interested in is the blue color. If I remember correctly, California doesn't allow people with corner lights other than white or orange. But does this apply for lights on the mirror too?

I would imagine one could change the bulb in the mirror, to a compliant one

Ahh sorry I didn't think i made my point clear: I have a blue car, blue corner lights would match it very well

But I really don't know if the blue is legal.

Eh...I think the blue light might attract cops anyway...they'd probably give me a ticket for "imitating a cop" because I have a blue light

Yes. The blue light attract cops, but is hard to attract other drivers. Perhaps I'm biased, but I think blue light is ugly, in terms of how well other drivers can detect it visually. In Taiwan a lot of drivers even replace their turning sigals with blue light bulbs. It's relatively hard to tell it's flashing at night or on rainly days. So pathetic that they think that's COOL.

that would be called "impersonating an officer", the first cop that saw it would bust you pretty much anywhere

Check your local DMV - LINK

No where in this country is this legal. You will run into more trouble than is worth having these on your car. Any idea why this guy is selling them?? Maybe a hint from that! Im a firefighter, and in my area I am allowed to have blue lights on my personal vehicle. We all choose not to, they cause more harm than good for even us. And they are dangerous in the ghetto's haha
