Trying to install new rear speakers in a 2003 Corolla

I'm trying to put new 6x9s in my girlfriend's Corolla, but can't figure out how to get the back deck lid off; any suggestions?

did you try taking the speakers out from the trunk? I am not expert in speakers, but I think you can remove them that way.
What corolla is that you need to replace speakers.
Cause I have a '04 LE with a kenwood deck and it sounds like I have subs.

I have an 03 also, just pop the speaker covers off and take off the holding nuts and replace...I can see/get to the speakers from my trunk with no problem at all...why take the whole back deck cover off to replace the same size speakers Radd Guy...
