Hi,

I have a in-dash CD changer installed on my 98 corolla. it is a toyota factory one, model #74834 (6-disks).

Does anyone know how to remove it? Do i need to take out the dashboard in order to do so?
If so, could anyone kindly give me some info on how to remove the dashboard?

not sure if the site is working. but the dash pops off around the stereo. once u take that off (start from top to pop it off) u'll see that all you need to do is unscrew the screws to take it out. hope it helps.

Do you mean that the dash (the CD changer is on the middle lower dash, under A/C controls) can be popped out by just pushing it from the back?

My 00 has a storage box there. Should be a removable trim piece around unit that will pop out, and it should reveal mounting screws. I have never seen a multi-disc unit in one of these.

Just take time and be careful not to break trim piece.

And, I have never seen a password required before at installdr either.
