Canada engine code location (on block)???

so im new to the toyata world, more of a vw guy....anyways i got a 91 corolla (first ever) 4dr with a twin cam engine. the engine is from either a corolla gts or a celica but a cant find info as to the engine code location on the block. i looked around and found nothing but oilly grime. what i need to is order some parts to repair a dead headgasket. id also like to know some basic specs for a comp test. maybe horse power ratings ect but i can look that up after i know what engine ive got.

Well, usually you can tell what engine by the trim. What trim do you have?

I might be mistaken, but I think the code is supposed to be on the left side near the bottom of the block. Not sure on that though. And also I think it's written on one of those stickers in the driver's doorjamb.

Yeah, in that case a pic would definitely help.
