Ok.. so you're dropping a rotory into your hachi huh? I've seen it done before and with a Twin Turbo Tri-Rotor (20BTT), but unfortunately I don't know of any sites for it. All I know is you'll be doing alot of fabricating to install it. While you're at it you might as well find yourself a supra rear axle so you have rear disc brakes & an LSD.

Heheh... didn't we mention before you were out of your league and completely clueless about where you're going with this? Currently, you haven't an idea what it takes to do a custom swap, you don't have enough money to complete this swap (600.00 NOT ENOUGH), and you're taking bites bigger than you can chew. I feel quite sorry for you... especially since you don't seem mechanically inclined enough to even maintain a wankel...

That said... you'll need the engine harness and wire diagrams for both the SR5 dash harness and RX7 harnesses. You need to wire the engine harness to the dash harness, wire up some relays for EFI, wire up an electrical fuel pump, on and on and on. Then, you have to get custom motor mounts made, custom tranny mount, possible firewall modifications to fit the tranny, custom driveshaft, coolant lines, intercooler, etc. You hear the word "CUSTOM" a lot... meaning no one is gonna really be able to hold your hand and walk you through it.

I'm Mechanical Engineer and my first rebuild took 2 month and about $3000 in tools and parts. Its the same engine so no custom work needed beside the port and polish on the head.
So a Mazda enigne swap into a Toyota chasis for $600? You must a master mechanic for 40 years working on both cars.
Not a bad project but needs lots of skill, knowledge, guts and coins.

if you can do it for 600 bucks i dont see why those japanese tuner videos have to make such a big deal out of swaps like those. or maybe you're just highly motivated to stick in the same thing as that one video of the trueno with 600 horses at the wheel? i suggest you think more realistic and wait a while longer to gather some more information... and get some cash, 600 is shit. better yet, dont do it at all.

Well here's another thing you gotta take into consideration: How much do you really know about rotories? They're nothing like piston engines and not alot of people know how to work on them. So unless you or one of your buds is a rotory specialist I suggest you drop the idea and re-attempt the 4AGZE.

$600 can't even get a decent paint job

Then for sure lets us know how you can pull it off with $600. I guess you're doing most of the work yourself.

about the twin turbo rotary, is it the 13B twin or the 20 twin? If it's the 13B twin turbo, I'd advise you make it single turbo (1 big one would be nice ). The 13B twin is notorious for going out early in its life.

many RX-7 owners have had to replace their engines around 60,000 miles
This probably isnt the case with all of them, but I've seen plenty of them like that.
http://robrobinette.com/buyaused.htm is a good site about 3rd gen and their engines.
www.rx7club.com is basically the TN of rx7s, all gens.
Hope this helps
