i have a TE72 'rolla and am seriously thinking about swapping a 3SGE from an altezza with the matching 6-speed tranny. I know that i will need, the mounts, harness, ecu and other stuff. but i was wondering what you guys/girls thought of this.
it has been done before, so i wouldn't be the first, and i figured over all it would cost about $7,500, plus or minusa few hundred.
it is going to be a long term project and am just wanting people input as to what other suggestions or comments you might have.
Is $7500 worth it? Not to be a playa hata, but for $7500 I'd just get another car man, unless you just have shitloads of money.
it'd be a long term project, over probably 2 years and i think it would definatley be worth.
imagine this....
you pull up to the local guys at a meet or show and they notice your car sound completely different from others, mind you it's an old school corolla too. you park and they come over to you and start chatting and finally tey ask you to pop the hood. you do and you show them a 3SGE twin cam with a big ass VVTi on the valve cover and it blows them away, not to mention the judges if it is in a show. it's all about originality
