ae 82 swap

HI i m new to this forum but can you guys advise me as to whether a 5a-fe engine would fit without any modifications or change in mounts in an ae 82 corolla? Also i am using the original 4a transmission on the new 5a-fe would that work?

You probably could but I seriously doubt anyone here has done a swap like that. The people here are usually looking to add performance, not lose it. So your probably on your own.

I say just get another 4A-FE or GE. I donno how much they cost over there but you can get them for around $200 (USD) in the US with decent miles.
