Looks like many people are confused...about the term "drifting"
Yes Front drive cars can drift... It just wont let you 'powerslide'
there is a difference...and fast, proper drifts are sliding on all 4 wheels... and THAT my friend is a "proper" drift.
YES, it means entering a corner sideways and exiting pointing at the exit direction with all 4 sliding from inertia from entry and mid-corner speed control. This does NOT involve hammering the gas in the middle to break loose... that's called a fake drift and it's penalized in D1...and a true drifter would be shaking his head...
All this and you must be clipping apex and following the proper line around corners to maintain speed...that part is physics 101...the rest is art...
Oh well, you'll just have to get some breifing from those that come to Drift Day at Club4AG on a regular basis... I am determined to produce a handful of the best drifters when the day comes to have D1 USA...(which is in the pot as we speak for near future 2003)
