I would not bother with the bumpers. They are not legal here in Canada and I have been informed of some safty issues they have. I've heard some people say stupid thing like it is just less metal that will get mashed into you when you crash.
If you wanted them you should have gotten in on the group buy that they had in the Dori-Kaze forum. They were getting the bumper set a $300 a pop.
I was thinking of getting a set but now I'm not sure. The only thing I can say is that they do look allot better than the bumpers we got. For now I'll just settle for the skirts and spoiler.

I would just about kill for a kouki bumper for my ae86.. too bad they're so hard/expensive to get.. but some day.. some day..

here's my rationalizing for the decreased strength of the japanese/euro bumpers:

1. if its good enough for the europeans and japanese and any other country besides n. american ones, its good enough for me..

2. once my car is lowered, everything will be hitting my car above the bumpers anyway, especially with all these minivans and suv's running around

3. they just look so damn good.. and they save about 100 lbs, so they will make me faster

well considering the jdm bumper is just plastic with two metal brakcets, they aren't as safe as the oem ones.
but then again, you do save like 40 lbs.

but if a cop sees it will he actually pull you over? (considering he knows you replaced the OEM bumper)
