Somthing drop into the tank??

Hi guys I have some urgent question for corolla (2005 S). Tonight I went to gas station and after fill up I drive and everytime I brake I hear sound from the tank, so I went home open the fuel door, then the cap. I realize that I can see all the way into the pipe, I just wondering, shouldnt there be a piece of metal that cover the pipe and when you fill up the nozzle push it open? I just want to confirm it from you guys. The sound could also come from the brake. (The brake line is close to the tank) But if it is possible can anyone of you check your car. Open the cap and do you see any cover?

yeah there should be a thin piece of metal there that closes when you remove the fuel nozzle it's helps keep debris out of the gas tank

yeah....but u wouldn't hear that little thing thing if it fell into the tank...probalby your brakes
