Advice On a Midbass speakers

My Friend gave Me a pair of KICKER RMB6 mid-bass Speakers. I want to install them in the rear deck of my 97 Corolla. I would have to cut a hole in my rear deck to fit them. i am wondering if this a good idea. can any one comment about this or reccomend any thing or give me some advice. Feel free to post pictures or links if you have any midbbasses in you corolla.
i currently have stock speakers in the reardeck, 2 12' subwooofers in the trunk and kickers in the front and Pioneer P6600DVD headunit.

are they 6x9's or round speakers?

I cut the unibody under the carpeted dash where the oem speakers were to fit 6x9's. I used a dremmel and a high speed fiber cutoff wheel.

On my sisters rolla I bent very heavy ga wire in a U shape about a foot long then crimped it around the neck of the 6x9 basket just above the magnet and installed them in the two larger openings toward the center of the back dash using the wire as a hanger. To keep them stealthy I drilled a pattern of 1/4" holes in the dash where the speakers were and brushed the carpet fuzz back over.

Even if they are round, which they probably are, you will have to file out Toyota's plastic speaker housing a lot and cut or bend back some sheet metal to get wider/deeper than stock speakers to fit.

If they are 6x9 they will no way fit in Toyota plastic housing and my advice is to use the two holes in the center.

I'd fit them to the front doors... I mean you dont have your back to the musicians in a rock concert either

Cool

arclite20 - I love my SMB8's
Advice??? Cut the deck supports out and seal the SMB's. They'll not only sound better, but if you have some good sub's, they won't be flexed around by the pressure in the trunk trying to equalize and break.

Angle grinders, Sawzalls... Both should do just fine cutting a circle out.

Flashmn - Front sound stanging is good, but that is extravoggant and Bass is omni-direcitonal... Where it's mounted doesn't really matter. besides, that's a lot of work for what? To loose that much more space ion the door for the mains.

Erm, hear the phrase "surround sound"? The musicians aren't really by your feet at a concert either are they? Fitting 6x9 in the front doors is impossible, and 6.5" is just plain difficult. I'd go with what Toysrme said.
