ae92 ebay bomex knock off kits??

I was thinking of buying a e-bay body kit for my ae92 coupe. I'm sure some of you have seen them. They're the bomex type knock offs? I was wondering if anyone had bought one of these or know someone who bought one. I was just wondering about how they fit. Think it's worth buying? I really didn't wanna special order a real bomex kit for like a grand. Thanks to all who reply. -Josh

Actually, I just bought one from Ebay the other day. Should be in this week, so I haven't seen it yet. Still looking for a place to have it painted and installed. If anyone has any recommendations for the Maryland/Pennsylvania area, please let me know! I'll let you know how it looks in a few days.

I bought it for the 2000, but the seller had them for a couple of year ranges. Figured if the quality was good I'd post it here. Of course, if its a rip off p.o.s. I'll post that too.

Let us know how it fits!

I've heard that most kits require some minor adjustments to make them line up properly.

when i put my bomex kit on my ae92 I had to cut down the reinforcement bar on the front bumper to make it fit and had to fiberglass it to stay on. Did not fit that great once I put it on when I bought it. I didnot buy the one from ebay tho

Regardless of whether you buy a knock off or the real bomex kit.. you would still have to mess with the rebar.. the AE92 Bomex kit was meant for Japan-spec Truenos, which don't have a rebar like the Corolla GTS.
