Following up on my previous post.....
I'm still hella confused. I'm really not sure if i have the 1.6L engine or the 1.8. The distributor label says 1.6L while the engine hood label says 1.8??? Anyway my question now is, can the 1.6 4a-fe be mated to the 4-speed automatic? Because thats what i have. If it can't then that answers my question completely and i can be sure that i have the 7a-fe. Someone please help me!

Take it to a Toyota dealership and ask the what the hell you have under the hood. But that does sound odd that there are mix matching parts.

"rolled" It is a slang trem for being mugged, robbed or ripped off.

For example: Let's go roll that drunk guy when he goes down that dark alley.

many parts are interchangeable between both motors especially top-end parts (parts connected to head) as they share the same head. The main difference between both motors are the bottom end (block, crank, pistons and rods).

That would definitely not be cool Flash
But i actually found out what happened. It seemed they used a 4afe distributor on my 7afe. The dealer ran a check on my engine and they did find it was indeed a 1.8L but the distributor the factory put on was for the 1.6. Anyway I suppose that gets rid of all my worries....thanks for everything guys, this forum rules!
