- got the Turbo Kit ( HKS Stage III: )
- the complete ITB setup is in transit ( MAP sensor, harness, disty, coil ... etc )
I want to get the block because of the 7 ribs and oil squirters and the head because of the big ports to run the turbo.
Will this combo work well for with the Turbo ? I am not building up the bottom end and i don't want to run big boost .... under 10psi is fine for me, just want it to breathe better and be more reliable.
tuning maybe... i'm still running AFM and i'm having no problem... also it will be hard to run boost pressure through independant throttle bodies... (because of leaks)

Proving people wrong 10psi at a time... t'ill the motor blows then I have no more to prove really...
Because that was for the 20V not the 16V 4AGE.. I know blitz has a turbo kit for the blacktop 20V.
And I have the complete AE101 ITB/MAP setup .... i don't think the Turbo will know or care much about what head I have. Plus I think the AE111 head and block are more restrictive ( 5 valves ) and weaker ( thinner parts ) than the V16 block setup.
Am i wrong here ?

except that you're working on an ae86... COMPLETELY different engine bay layout... not to mention that the ITB plenum has to have the air intake fabricated to the other side.... otherwise it faces directly into the firewall and you can't get a pipe in there
if it's an early model ae92 block you should be ok on lower boost..... even though the later ae92 block (high comp) has the same stronger crank/rods as the early, the stock pistons are a bit high to run boost on safely (10.3:1)..... gze head should be the same as any other 4a head.... depending on generation of course....

I am well aware of the intake position, that is an easy fix ... that is a non issue.

I tought the ZE heads were the big port heads .... i can't find a complete ZE engine for cheap, but i got hold of a NA bottom end and ZE head.
Do the the two AE92 blocks come with oil squirters ?

How come HKS or Blitz made a Turbo kti for the AE101 or AE111 ?
because they want it to be a bolt-on affair. in your case, it isn't. you're trying to fit a piece (ITBs) that's not necessary for your turbo project, just so you can say you're swap is different. people that are going NA ITBs on their 16Vs are already having some tuning problems. so i can even imagine what you're gonna go through. however, i've seen this done before by a small tuning company in Japan who's got lots of tuning experience.
bottom line.. scarp the ITB idea and concentrate on tuning the turbo!

" Kehin FCR carbs were also tried but couldn't get enough fuel at high rpm's. The car was brought to Motorworx Race Systems, and an SDS EM3-4F was installed and tuned with a custom intake using 45mm SK throttle bodies and 370cc/min ND injectors. This cured all of the car's problems. "
