Hi all, have a 95 corolla and was trying to replace a bulb. (the one that lights the gear shift positions). Despite new bulbs, no light! Could this be a problem with the socket holder? Hate to spend 26$ (cost of socket holder) and realize that the problem is elsewhere. Any ideas? Thanks

Also make sure the wires protruding from the bulbs bottom and the socket contacts are matched up and touching. Do you have a test light or voltmeter ?
