Hesitates at half throttle.....Please Help

ok.....I have and 89 Corolla GTS. since i bought my car last february i've had this problem. When i push on the throttle half way it bogs down. It bogs down from about half throttle to right before full throttle. When i floor it, its fine. I thought it could be my timing so i adjusted my distibuter. By doing that it makes my idle bounce. I don't think the idle bouncing is the problem at all. If I adjust my timing back to the way it was it doesn't bounce. But when my idle doesn't bounce, it makes the throttle problem even worse. I have tried everything that has been said in other messages to try and stop the idle bouncing problem, including replacing the plugs, wires, fuel filter, i've drilled a hole in the thermostat, and bled the radiator of air. I've adjusted my timing to every possible position. The only thing i think is wrong with it is the throttle problem said in the beginning. Can someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the idle bouncing problem... are you sure you tried to adjust the idle screw yet?? its next to the throttle body, under a round rubber cap.

The check engine light works.....It comes on periodically. I haven't tried to mess with the idle screw. Do you know the factory settings as to where it should be....i'll try that tomorrow...

well i messed with the throttle position sensor and i managed to eliminate the throttle problem. The only thing is the idle started to bounce when i first started it up this morning. It isn't doing it after it gets warm so i'm not too worried about it, but if anyone has any suggestions as to what it might be that would be really helpful. Thank you very much for the advice because if you wouldn't have told me about the tps i was going to take it to the toyota dealership and have them put it on the diagnostic tester. The only reason i hesitated to do that,is because it costs like $50 just for them to hook it up to the tester.

What did you do to the TPS to fix the problem?
I ask because I just started having the same problem with my MKI MR2.
