corolla LE 05 or camry LE 2000

HI all,

i just want your opinion corolla owners. A friend of mine is selling her camry LE 2000 with 43K mileage, no accident, just a small dent on the rear, engine is good according to her -- for 7,500. Is this a good deal? I checked kelly bluebook and it says that if youre getting the car from a dealer, its is priced for 9,500 and 6,800 from a private party. I am torn between getting this car and getting a brand new corolla 2005 LE for 17K OTD, 2.9% for 60 months.

Thanks a lot for your advice. This is my 1st car so i am ignorant on this subject.

Ge the new Corolla. It will not give you any trouble.
If the Camry is a 4 cylinder Auto than it will also be slower than the Corolla...
Unless you need the room, get the Rolla...

Go for the new. Toyota has cheap financing now and you get all of the warranty for yourself. Hopefully you'll never need it, but if you do need to get something fixed on a toyota out of warranty, parts are expensive. Especially electronic ones. The corolla will get better gas mileage as well. When you get new you never have to wonder about what has happened to the car before you had it... like has the oil been changed every 3-5k or every year if that much?

Buy the used Camry unless you can get a better deal on the Corolla Le. The dealer you are dealing with is raping you. 2005 Corolla CE goes for as little as 13K or even Less. As for the LE I have seen it go for 14.5K If you are a better negotiator you can get it for less. Don't let them fool you with the financing deals. Negotiate the price first, financing comes next. As for the quality of the Toyota, Toyota's are reliable. I would recommend a toyota over other manufactures. If you buy new, just make sure you are not overpaying. Don't be a sucker

i'd go with the brand new corolla. Its a whole different feeling when you drive a brand new car.
