I'm also interested on those eBay headers for my 88. Does anybody have any experience with them? I know they are 4-2-1 style so they are good for the 4af but how is the fitment and quality?

I would like to replace the stock carb with the Weber but I’m concerned about it not bolting up to the stock intake manifold. I read that some people had to make an “adaptor”. Does anybody have pics they would like to share? Is it difficult to make one?

Sorry for the thread jacking.

once u have a header u don;t need the stock intake manifold...it should fit right on because i have the 4-2-1 style also...but u may need a a liittle bit of washer for your o2 sensor because it might be a little bit too long...

if it's anything like the pacesetter, i would try to avoid that one, have heard nothing but headaches from that brand on our cars. KBD might be a better alternative

I emailed the shop that's selling the header asking if it includes any mounting hardware or gaskets and they said it doesn't

I also emailed Weber asking about the 32/36 dgv and they said there are no kits for the 4AF. So i guess you will have to make your own adaptor plate.

i have a "kbd" (not sure if it's an actual kbd or not, it was on ebay) header on my 4age..... that thing is a headache.... after one of the gaskets blew over 15 times i finally just pulled the gasket and bolted the downpipe to the header, been running like that since...

that one actually has a flexpipe in it..... for that price IMO i would try

i'm with this guy, 4afe engine are decent ECONOMY engines and nothing more, headers, cai and all those stage one mods will get you nothing but a noisier car. complete engine swap baby, its the only way to go.

From the pic it does look like it will bolt up but what i'm concerned about is that it's mounted infront the header as opposed to it being mounted on the side of the stock header. Will the wiring even reach?

I guess theres only one way to find out.......................
