XRS transmission oil

Has anyone changed the gear oil on their 05 corolla XRS yet ? I want to change mine and put in Mobil 1 gear oil. I'm not sure which plug is the fill/level plug. There are two. One is a 10mm allen plug, the shop manual calls this the trans. case plug. The other is a 17mm hex plug, the manual calls this the fill plug. The manual does not say how to fill. The dealer told me it was the allen plug but I don't trust them from past experience. Both plugs appear to be the same height.

The higher of the two is fill plug (For clarity you may already know some of the following too.)

get some 3/8 tubing (I use clear tube) about 3 feet and to reach the fill plug from engine comaprtment, and a funnel.

Make sure that you can open that Fill plug first! you cannot drive with it emptied of oil

then loosen lower 10mm plug, put drain pan under,
open and take out plug and let it drain.
replace drain plug. leave pan in place.

open fill plug
Pass tube from above and then jam it into fill hole.
on top, jam in funnel, and poir new fluid till it runs out of the hole (thats why the drain pan is left there) when fluid runs out it is at proper level.

remove fill tubing, and put in the fill hole plug.
I like coating the threads with some pipe dope (teflon paste) to make sure it seals well, and doesn't corrode.

I've been thinking of changing my gear oil pretty soon, I've had good experiances in the past with Red Line, but I was thinking of running Mobil1, I think I heard one of the Celica guys running GM SynchroMesh oil.

One of the few car guys around here swears by royal purple(I think) fluids.
