Thumbs up OEM Vs. Aftermarket Cold air filters !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear friends what is better ,an oem toyota TRD cold air intake or the aftermarket ones(AEM,K&N,INJEN), what do you reccomend i use, OEM or aftermarket, what could possibly be the difference, why is one better than the other???

Isn't the TRD made by AEM in the first place? In the end.. they're all "aftermarket", the only difference is that the TRD one doesn't mess with your warranty cuz you would have to get it installed by the dealer.

Read through the Magnusson-Moss act, and buy aftermarket. Go for the best filter, not what you think will keep you safe from the toyota warranty guys. I'd recommend K+N.

Might be because it came with the Injen intake.

Injen makes the "TRD" intake don't they?? I thought it was AEM.

Not sure who makes the TRD intake. I'm almost positive that they use rebadged aem filters though.
