Talking Corolla XRS Tires

After a couple of weeks of complaining to my dealer about the summer tires on the XRS, they replaced them with BF Goodrich Traction T/A in 205/55VR16 for free. Also they said they got the OK from Toyota to go to the bigger size. Wow, what a difference in the snow.

i drove in the michelins in some snow. for a summer tire it handled pretty decently. yea, that wider tire must feel pretty good, but i think im gunna stick with the 16s and keep my rotational mass lower so i can get off the line quicker

I made one atempt to drive in snow with the michelins, I didn't go far, they were completely unacceptable. I imagine they're decent summer tires

Ahhhh hello? The brochure says that XRS has Michelin "performance" tires (aka Summer's only). Why would you complain to the dealer about that and not expect to buy winters? Of course they're unacceptable in the snow - you might as well be driving slicks!

Consider yourself lucky since the dealer should have told you get some snow's.

I am using my BF Goodrich winter tires right now and I am dying to put my Michellin Primacy Pilot Summer tires back own. I miss the tenacious grip off the line with those tires while these winter tires spin a lot while launching from 3000 rpm. Although, since the winter tires are wider 205 tires, they are pretty good while cornering.

When I took delivery of the car I asked about the tires. The dealer assured me they were in fact all season tires and showed me the 2005 "Toyota Source Guide" which stated all season tires.

Sunrise Toyota in Oakdale, NY. No I did not keep the Michelins. Also I wrote Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. They are still saying the Michelin Pilot Primacy are "all season". Go figure . Well , I'm happy with the new tires

Seems like Toyota USA is f'ed up and so is the dealership. Check out Toyota.com website and see it says summer in the specs. You can look at the tires themselves and if it says 's' then it is summer and if it says 'm + s', this means all season tires. The Michellin Primacy are summer tires. They would be the most dangerous thing in snow to use.
