I have a 97 corolla and when ever i step on the brakes the parking lights turn on, then when ever i have the headlights on all the break lights come on. Has this happened to anyone else? and if so any suggestions to fix it. I know i should just take it to a Mechanic but i work too much and don't have the time to take it.
Thankyou
Darius

some of these problems with the rear lights are very easy to fix.. My friend has the problem where all his lights worked fine and when he brakes everything goes off. It was as easy as some residue left on the sockets of the rear light, so before you take it anywhere. Take the bulbs and use a wire bruch on the base of the bulbs, and then wire brush all the sockets in the light housing, tell me if it works...

Ummm... I don't know much about the taillights on the later AE102, but have you considered the possibility that you have the sockets in the wrong holes?
