'94 Corolla Headlamp Assembly

I'm trying to take off the headlamps so I can clean the yellow yuck out from the inside of them. It seems pretty straightforward, but there's some plastic clip thing that keeps me from seperating the blinker from the headlight and therefore getting to the two bolts on the side of the car that hold the headlight in. I've tried every angle and can't seem to get to it in any usable way. It's a 4door base model auto if that means anything...

you have to remove the corner lamps and grille to remove the headlight.

You have to unscrew the corner lamp from the headlamp and kinda smack the cornerlamp toward the front of the car. There are two pegs at the rear and one clip/guide between the two lamps.

So it's supposed to be pulled apart, not unhooked? I have had such terrible luck in the past with plastic stuff that looked like it was supposed to be pulled apart breaking. So the corner lamp comes straight forward with pressure, right?

If so, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Just got done getting the oil changed on my Tiburon, so now the sun's down.

just pull it apart........ don't hold it by the light, use a long screw driver to pry it open at the connector place............

and keep in mind, the plastic is 10 years old..
