you don't need those things... just drift the damn thing and get lots of practise. tehn and only then you'll know what you need.. ie. springs, tire size, etc.

Just keep ur suspension stock. All i would do is put on a bit stiffer springs like the eibach ones.
With stock suspension you can learn how to transfer weight properly and smoothly. This is learnt much eaiser with a stock setup. As for tires, the stock tires are kinda skinny so pick up a set of supra rims and put on some 195/60/14, any brand will do cause if ur learning sticky tires are the last thing that you want. The stock brakes are good enough for drifting, just make sure everything is bled ok and they sould wotk fine. And if you are just starting out......don't think that ur Takumi and try to drift on the streets, it will cost you more money in the long run and its very dangerous.
thats my 2 centz.
DriftAssult I don't think I'm Takumi... He is Just a Cartoon Character. I think I want to learn the art of drifting so that I can be good at something that MY friends would never think of doing... Plus I was thinking about Empty Parking Lots and Start by Learning how to do a 180 Turn with an E-Brake. Like the Drift Bible says. Then The 90 turn. Then See If there are enough people that is interested in splitting the cost of track time and Play around on the track! But Thanks for the Information Driftassault... Also By any chance know any place or track where it is a good spot to learn?
dont use the supra rims if u want to learn drifting...they are wider than stock rims, so u will have a harder time breaking them loose. if u really have ur mind set on using them, put them on at the front and keep the stock rims on the back while u practice. otherwise just practice with everything stock and u will figure out what u need as u get better.
yea, I'd say empty parking lots, or even drift days from drift nation during the summer, not sure if they give lessons or not though, I'm pretty sure they did last year. btw, what car are you using.
Well Right Now I have An AE86 zenki coupe in the works... The Car is in Pieces and it needs some body work. I'm trying to Prep it for Drifting. I already Just Bought an OEM LSD. So it's a Work in progress.
Step 2: Buy a 240SX (minimum) or a Supra, preferably.
I think FWD drifting is a big waste of time. "Silk purse from a sow's ear." Not happening.

Those are alot harder to drift. 240SX Being underpowered with a KA24/KA24DE engine. Supra being a heavy turd. AE86 is alot easier to drift than those, because the weight-to-power ratio is good.
