older 4afe to newer 4afe swap? please help

I have a 1994 corolla with the new head design 4-afe 1.6ltr, it has 225 thousand miles on it and little if any compression, rings shot. I also have an older pre 1992 4-afe with 20,000 miles on it. i know the heads are different, but will my younger block run that newer head? (can i take my lower milage block and put that new styl head on it and have no issues?) i need this car back on the road. please help me.
