its easy......take of you boot on the shifter.....take a grinder.....cut it in half......the cut it again taking off about an inch or 2 depending on how short you want it.....then weld it back together....put your boot back on....easy as that

thats all i did lol i didnt wanna pay way over 100 bucks for a shifter... as far as the boot i ditched it and kept the plastic peice that was on the boot to give it its shape... as far as a knob... u can buy shift knobs pretty much anywhere that are just tightned down with alen wrench screws

i guess my only advise for an actual shifter would be to wait and keep checking ebay i cant remember off hand where ive seen them id have to look for the site
