t25 turbo???

hey i don't know much about turboes so this may sound like sort of a wierd question. but would a t25 turbo fit my ae101? i have someone that will sell me a rebuilt one real cheap. if not then why?

The T25 is actually a pretty small turbo, even for the 4A-FE. It'd fit, you'd probably even have instant boost off of idle. Thing would get to full boost fast, but it'd likely top out really fast, too.

Yeah, any turbo will fit if you've got the correct flange. If you don't plan on running a lot of boost, this just might be the turbo for you.

Too many variables to give you any number, dude. But given you've got an auto and 7A-FE, if you just beef up your transmission, you would probably be faster than you would be with a 5spd 4A-GE.

sending it out to get reinforced. A friend of mine who had a boosted 4A-FE had to get his done because it ate through two of them.

If you want to know about reinforcing the tranny, check out Tony the Tiger's set-up. You can seaqrch for threads by him in the hardcore/tech forum. He has a site link in his sig with info about his turbo camry and the built A/T. Basically it gets reinforced to handle more power without breaking , and the Torque converter can be made high-stall so that you can break-boost off the line...
