Xrs+Injen Dyno Results

I know some people were starting to doubt since I procrastinated for so long, but I finally came through for you.

Injen Cai made for 04+ Matrix Xrs, on my corolla Xrs, fits like a glove.

And the results, I almost peed myself, I made three runs on it, all were within 2hp/tq of each other, so it's safe to say that they're consistant numbers. Here's the best run at 160.6 whp and 117.9 wtq.

I made the run without the ground/voltage systems so that you could all get an accurate representation of what the Injen intake does by itself.

161 whp. Holy smokes! Wow! That is awesome. That means it must be close to 185 - 190 HP with the intake at the crank or this dyno is inaccurate (I hope not). Great news. I will give my XRS a big hug today.

05 XRS is still mechanical cable driven so the system is the same as the 04 Matrix XRS and no ECU codes to break unlike the 05 S,LE or CE. In 300 rpm, it goes from 123 whp to around 157 whp and gains a bit more all the way to 8400 rpm. That is insane...LOL

Nice to see you posting the pics and dyno results dj. My Injen was to come in this week, but due to Injen... delayed till next week. I ordered it two weeks ago and it seems forever.

I meant it like solving the mystery, breaking the code... that sorta thing. Not the actual ECU code.

My Corolla XRS definitely has throttle by wire, it is cable driven to the the servo motor. There is no throttle cable going to the gas petal.

Yep I ordered the black one, so it won't be as noticeable.

That is weird. I asked my Toyota tech and he told me that XRS is still mechanical cable driven while the other Corolla trims are drive by wire.

What did you make with the stock airfilter kit? Do you have a graph of that?

Nope, this was my first run with the intake...I really wish that I would have gone in for a baseline run before that.

I installed my Ingen CAI on Sunday morning. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes. I have to advice that the removal of the blower that is in the space that will be used for the filter itself is very difficult and will require some mechanical abilities like positioning the tools, etc. I am assuming that all XRS have this blower, since I am in Puerto Rico. After you remove it, installing the Ingen CAI is piece of cake. I did some test runs after the installation, and boy, the difference in response is very noticeable specially when hitting the 6500 rpm. I will probably take my XRS to the dyno this week, so I will do my best to share the resulst with all of you.

All XRSs are built in Toronto Canada so you have the same XRS as Canada/US models. Do you feel the difference in power after you hit lift?? or at the low end. It would be nice to have another dyno to see what kind of whp are you getting.
