Sunroof opens a little at a time

Any ideas on how to fix a sunroof on a 2005 le. When I try to open it, it moves about an inch each time I push the button and will open all the way after about 20 hits. It closes on the first shot. I replaced the switch with the exact same problem existing.

Please don't tell me to go back to the dealer. I know Flshmn will have a wise crack remark, but I have several reasons including working 85 hours per week. The dealer being 45 min away, the Dealer being a typical doofus dealer, and it simply not being that important to me.....thanx in advance for any info............JT

Sounds like something is wrong with the sunroof motor or the rails.. do you wanna fix that yourself???? obviously not.. so go back to the dealer. But if you do and you fukitup.. then its a waste to have warranty. flashmn couldn't have said it better himself.
