I got a 2000 corolla with a 1zzfe engine, but they make the trrd superchargers for the 1zzfe engines for the 2003 .The supercharger should fit the same since mine is a 1zzfe anyway right?
I have heard that their are clearance and ECU issues. You would need to relocate the battery, and put in a hood scoop. These are just things I have heard on other forums.

Scott
You pretty much nailed it scott, there isnt enough hood/radiator clearance and the TRD ECU piggyback wont work. The fix action would be a custom hood and a different ECU, like the unichip, jetchip, etc...
Hey, Regarding the TRD super charger: I have an 04 corolla with the S/C, Its performance gains are quite nice, but the cost that came with that was quite large (4800 canadian). I would just like to point out that it may not be worth it for you if you ever want MORE power, because the S/C is fairly limited to what upgrades you can do. example: you cant upgrade to an intercooler, you cant easily increase the boost pressure. as well because the S/C is aluminum, and bolts right onto the engine, the S/C actually heats up a fair bit, which makes the air hotter, and as we all know, thats not great. HOWEVER, you do get to keep whatever warranty that your vehicle has! I guess Im just saying if you want more power, but may need MORE in the future, see what you can get for a turbo...

DONT GET ME WRONGE, I STILL LOVE MY S/C!!!
thats one of the most horrible post I've seen here yet...
1. 4800 canadian? I dont know how much that is in dollars, but there are sales for $1800 everywhere, I paid $2300 for mine 7 months ago. (did the install myself thank you)
2. Limited to upgrades? You have no idea... the intake is dyno proven to boost just under 15hp with forced induction, The JP performance header is dyno'd at 22hp. They also make things called AIC's (additional injector controllers), which require some tuning but once mine is tuned im looking for another 35hp in combination with my pulley. I guess 250ish for 3-4 mods isnt enough for you? I havent even touched the rest of the exhaust, Fuel controllers, etc...
3. Cant add an intercooler? Yes you can, it would need to be a custom job but it can definately be done... its just that nobody wants to be the guinea pig for it. There is also water injecton which does the same job as an intercooler.
4. Cant easily increase boost? It's called a pulley and 15 minutes. (your stock diameter is 2.4") I am running a 2.3" sure-grip pulley. Sure its no quick turn boost controller, but thats how idiots blow their turbos... bumping up that boost for a race without thinking.
5. The s/c heats up and makes hot air?? The heat that you probably read about and dont understand is the heat that is made during the stages of compression. Thats what a supercharger does... compresses air, it's not just a big fan. It warms up because the design of a roots type blower doesnt let all the compressed air in the chamber the first time, so some of the already compressed air is compressed once again before entering the combustion chamber. Thats the heat, not because its mounted to the engine.
0 for 5, want to try again? The TRD supercharger is a GREAT mod and 100x more reliable than a turbo setup. And you can ask my friend with a turbo Celica Gt (8 lbs of boost on a T4)which is faster... I'll give you a hint: It sure as hell doesn't whistle.

Actually, if you even got a hint to what i was getting at (im guessing you didnt). Someone was asking about putting an 03 supercharger in their older corolla and was wondering if it would fit or not... AND I WAS JUST SAYING!!!! --- that it might not be worth the trouble to do so!!! people WERE saying it probably wouldnt have enough clearance.... so therefore a Turbo COULD be made to fit.... AND about upgrades- (I realize there are more mods ) but when i total everything up in CAD dollars (and US for that matter) all those mods for 250 HP (at the crank) its just a bit steep!!!! and then what more can be done without blowing submitting my car to some race devolping company for thousands more?
you see what im getting at? im making a suggestion here, take it or leave it... dont say im an IDIOT...
Oh I would also like to add, that the heat i was reffering to, was the heat from the engine, transferring to th S/C which ADDS to the compressing heat... And it would be nice to intercool, but realistically, im not interested in going to that much trouble?
you were talking about the s/c in general in your statment, having nothing to do with going in an older model. Also, the word Idiot was never mentioned by me so dont put words in my mouth.
A decent turbo kit will cost over $3000 and will still be less reliable than a s/c with the mentioned mods, also pretty close in price. You obviously don't understand your supercharger (that is if you even really have one) or the basics of forced induction, so just go back to driving your dealer installed supercharged car. I installed mine myself and am fully aware of what it's capable of. I also have alot of experience with FI in general. I've also owned both turbo'd and supercharged... once you reach a certain point you will need internal work done with either system.
