1998 Corolla V6

Another guy at school owns a 1998 Corolla, and thinks it has a V6 Engine in it. As far as I know (which isn't very far considering I'm a Camry man myself) the 98 Model Corolla did not have a V6 option, and I've never heard of one with it. He isn't 100% sure, and obviously is either too stupid or too scared of being wrong to let me look under the hood. I say 4-cyl, 3SFE probably. What do ya'll think?

If it is a 1998 corolla for sure it has the 1zz-fe engine in it. It is a 1.8 liter inline 4. Corollas never had v engines in them. The corolla engine is pretty stout. But I know 100 percent sure all corollas never had a v6 or a inline 6 option. All come with 4 cylinder engines.
