4a-fe stock figures, mods ?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows approximately what figures a 97 4afe or similar, would give at the wheels, torque and hp ?

Currently driving a 97 corolla hatch (Australia) and looking at improving torque and hp but without compression. Anyone done it ? ie, decent gain without turbo/super.

Thanks in advance

Hey Red2,

The car already has a cold air intake, had custom extractors fitted to it and is running 2 1/2 inch piping. (and other little thingies) I guess i'm more interested in making a few more hp's atm, torque is fine i think. Wanted to know stock figures because silly me, i didn't dyno the car when stock. Now i got modded dyno figures but nothing to compare to bah lol...i don't really know how much they've helped . Some looking around points to not much doable...understandably, it is a little family car after all. Few people seem to have fitted small size turbo's to their 4a-fe's, such as T3 (on low boost), even so, gains weren't much (relative to cost and time). (Something like 15-20% increase in torque and hp??) But really wanting to stay away from FI.

Anyone got an animal n/a 4a-fe ??

some one here posted about 90 hp at the wheels when the engine is healthy. I think thats pretty good. My 4afe is runs well till about 85 mph then it seems that when I push it further it feels like the engine is really working I topped out my car at about 110 mph
