Carspinning, anyone?

i've seen it on TV, and i've heard about it. AE86 is a car that is associated with carspinning every time i talk about it. so, anybody do it? if so, tell us about it.

Do you mean drifting? I suggest you read the reference section at club4ag. Lots of good info for anyone who's interested, especially in AE86's.

I think he is implying burning off the tires while spinning in circles, or figure 8's. Mostley done by RX7's and Supra's but the AE could do it. I tryed it once, but my clutch was toast to begin with so it didnt work.

no! they put good tires in the front, and nasty cheap worn out tires in the back. then, they spin in crazy directions. it's popular in japan and south america, and AE86 is the bestcar to do this mess, though i've seen beetles do it.

the clutch in my 86 also shot, so i am limited to spinning and sliding it in the rain --- that of course is tons of fun until campus police come and kick you off the parking lots... or when you're (trying) drifting on the streets and you spin out and cause traffic jam

in the rain i couldnt get a full 369 rotation in 86..... my dad sugested what he calls "the left foot breaking technique" i have yet to try it.....

i have never really tryed drifting 86 in the dry...... i have in a couple of my friends cars tho...... 2nd gen (NA) RX7, 3rd gen (twinTurbo) RX7, and 95 TT supra... in my opinion 2nd gen rx7 was the best you can push it really far side ways and if you make a mistake you can get it to fishtail and it still controlable --- 3rd gen RX7 is true sports car, it doesnt like to drift>>it likes to corner properly -- its oversteer is ok, but it was really hard to keep it sliding -- it seemed that just when rear traction boke and i could start drifting it would spin out (think that car needs alot more speed to drift...speed which is hard to achieve on public roads).......last is supra I dont like supra at all it has the feel and responce of a a heavy car (which it is) something like an old FR american car with less power and less torque

yeah so spinning and sliding cars is fun , but its hard to find places on publis road where you can go fast enough -- and when there is , it is really scary to try and loos grip when you are going fast.... practicing in the rain will give you (kind of) an understanding of how your car will react in the dry at high speeds .... OK, now go try it and have fun

I think this guy gets the idea... the front wheels would have good tires, but the back would have either messed up tires or donuts. The car must be a front-engine/rear-wheel drive vehicle, preferrably a small car like the AE86.

Thats exactly what I fu*k'n said in the beginning. It looks much kooler when you have a very high HP car like a veilside RX7 spinning and spinning untill the tires blow off!

Ok looks like this newb needs some edumication (I purposly spelt that wrong).

Ok what you are talking about is called drifting. Drifting can be done in other lay outs other than FR. Thoe there is argument on wether or not a FF car can drift I belive it can. Basicaly you can drift in ant layout but FR is the easiest to learn it in.

As for the NOS.... Are talking about using it in mid drift? If so I belive that is a death wish. Using it on straight aways might help bost but it is a waste on a slow car such as a AE86.

Now to top off your edumication so you can be S.M.R.T. smart go to this web page and read the whole damned reference section. That is you home work for tonight. If do don't read it then **** off! You have no reason to be here.

Here is the web page. http://www.club4ag.com

Feel free to come back and talk about the AE86 after you read all of this.

I still dont think he means drifting. Hes talking about a burnout. But instead of staying in one spot, you spin around and around, smoking the tires. I used to have a video of an RX7 doing it. He blew the tires and the motor at the same time. Let me see if I can find it again.
