Stop Light Switch

I have a '90 Corolla DX & I just installed a new brake light switch. I was working fine, then all of a sudden the lights were staying on when the car wasn't even running...now they don't work at all. Just wondering if there is any simple fix for this

just loosen the screw holding it so that the switch will slide backa bit and will have more space between the switch and the pedal. but if it was working fine before, you might want to check the switch again. the spring might be stuck so the switch is always toggled.

Did you install it properly? I'm sure there is a spring in it, perhaps it's stuck.
