7a-fe need a oil cooler??

after reading the other thread about the oil coolers for the GTS i was thinking about it thinking that the 7a-fe makes more power and torque but was meant to be a more laid back engine, which is why it probably why it doesn't have one, basically I drive the engine hard and i got dissappearing oil at a alarming rate no leaks and no smoke???

What are the signs of excessive oil temperature???

i just changed the oil after 2800 Km's and its jet black? i remember my old 4A-LC it was always cleaner in that engine after 5000 km's, im starting to think its breaking down and getting out the PCV......?????

It wont show like that, excessive oil temps would make your engine seize if you let it go to that point. If your coolant system is ok and you're using oils specified for your temp range, this wont happen.

The 4A-GE rev higher and have higher compression. Don't need oil cooler unless you race the car.

well..... actually 4ag equipped cars over seas didn't get oil coolers.... when dealing with oil, the best thing you could do is potentially find a windage tray that would work.... a 4ag windage tray would work on a 4afe, but not a 7afe

try to flush the engine. My oil used to be really brown 1000 miles after an oil change. You probably have so much deposits. I flushed my engine and my oil turned brown after 2500 miles.

Over here even 4A-Fs have oilcoolers, but supposedly the system sucks alot.

Mine used to be blackish brown, still is. Thats ok, because I know the oil is doing its job, if it came out clear, then I'd shit in my pants. Dont worry about it being dark.
