have a wierd problem w/ 04 CE

my 04 has had a lil problem since new...but has gotten worse. Let me take u through it.

I depress clutch to floor and turn key...car goes CHUNK..and doesn't start. Have to release clutch, depress again and car starts right up.

It has done it about 10 times total...6 times within last month.

car has 35,000 miles.....

it's goin into toyota..but curious if you ever heard of this one before???

Do you have an aftermarket alarm/remote starter/ keyless entry?

If so, then the electric contact is faulty and should be checked.

Unless there is such device, you should be able to start the car in neutral without depressing the clutch, as far as I know.
Cheers,
Joachim

there is no way that you can start an 04 corolla in nuetral without pressing the clutch. There a few older cars that you can do that with, let alone an 04 corolla
