I dont know about corollas but in impreza WRX the DRL switch is located in driver's side, under the dahboared (where there is gas and break pedal) - its a white clip about 2-3inches long and saids "DRL" on it.

I have same problem, except for me it's a little worse since I got HIDs. I have to actually turn on my headlights, or the HIDs will blink like strobes all the time, and that kills them.
My suggestion is take it to the shop, cause the only way I know is to ground the wire from the handbrake into somewhere. There was a Toyota Corolla Do it yourself page where the guy shows you the steps on how to disable the DRLs but the site is no longer available.

Here is a DIY to run it off of a toggle switch:
http://www.vvt-i.net/forum/showthread.php?t=578

I suggest this method if you can spare a few bucks and about 30 minutes of work. Your insurance should give you about an $80/year discount(thats how much mine is) because your car has DRLs. If you disable them I'd put it on a switch, if they find out that you fully disabled it without telling them then you could possibly get fined or if you get in an accident they can decline your coverage.

Good luck

Wouldn't it be easier to pull out the bulbs so you can put them back in if you want to sell the car?

Unless they're the same bulbs as the headlights, but I was under the impression that they're different bulbs.

Question about the DRL Guide. What do we do with the wire that is left in the switch? We splice the wire from the harness and connect it to one side of the switch. The other side of the switch goes to the ground. What about the wire that was originally heading to the harness?
