Unhappy Sad situation for my AE86 coupe...need help!

My AE86 coupe 84 was fine two days ago...but then an oil leak started I bought all the nessesary things to fix it (the leak was above the oil pan) well we then unsrewed all the oil pan screws but the freaking oil pan didnt came down as it should. We tried for hours to force it down with a screwdriver but to no avail...frustrated we put the screws back in their place, sealed the leak with silicone without changing the thingy that goes on the oil pan (dont remember the exact name) then we made the oil and filter change and turned on the car then the disaster happened...when it was turned on it actually wasted all the new oil on the floor trough the oil pan all the screws were in place I dunno what happened...so now we are forced to take out the oil pan to replace that part (I still cant remember its name, its a flat paper like seal that goes under the oil pan i dont know how to spell it in English..in Spanish is called "La junta del crank") we unscrewed all the screws (again) but the hell made oil pan doesn't come out...can some body help me and tell me how to get that thing down and off for good? and if posible tell me why the car wasted all the oil only when started even though the leak was sealed? too many questions, 4 days to fix the issue and a headache maker oil pan need help...

maybe look at unbolting the lower plate across the bottom of the bell housing? Sometimes that plate keeps it from comming down. Alot of these oil pans are sealed with ATV and have no gasket but it sounds like yours does just take it easy and work it slowly..

Indeed we are working slowly up to now the oil pan has gone off of some sides but there is still much to do...I was wondering if there isn't any hidden screws or something (for the oil pan) that we might have forgotten..if not we are in the right track...and last question...what exactly is ATV that you told me some oil pans are sealed with ATV?

I don't know if you have a manual that your working with
but theres goofy little things my manual tells me to do during this process

1 - on DOHC engines - remove front exhaust pipe and bracket from the exhaust manifold and CAT
2 - to remove mounts or crossmembers that may interfere with removal
3 - tap it softly with a soft face hammer
4 - to not only remove the oil pan - but also the baffle plate[baffle plate is only for 4A-GEs

don't know if any of this helps but I wish you luck

AE86

thx to all the ppl that helped in the evening we will start working on it again hope that we can just put the oil pan out today... if now if somebody could put a pic of the part that may be getting the pan stuck I will really apreciated cause there are many parts there and the one that is under the pan is the one that supports all the front tire system I dont want to unscrew the wrong thing and end in killing my own car...

the pan and the windage tray are both held on by quite a bit of silicone..... it's tough to start, but they come off

thx to all for the comments. In the end the damn pan went off but a screw was broken in the process the other screw half is stucked inside the hole where the whole screw used to be. This happened cause my friend overtorqued the screw and it broke when we were removing it so...if some can tell me a good way of pulling (or pushing) the screw out it will make wonders and our work will be done...

ok now the pan is good to go inserted and good, it doesnt leek anymore from there, but when I started the car it began wasting a lot of oil from elsewhere (yes again). Where could it be?
Could it be the new filter we installed? Or something else? opinions needed...a mechanic told us that it could be some part that goes in the transmission so we gonna have to move down part of the transmission mechanism its gonna take time...damn it! All for a $3 part

Yes, your filter or oil cooler lines are the only thing outside the engine that contain high pressure oil. Your leak has to be coming from there. Maybe the wrong oil filter? Compare it to the old one.

The transmission is not your problem.

ccould be could be not...because is not a leak is like a water fountain when the car is started...maybe the lines or maybe that part (is a donut like part holder that goes in the front end of the transmission and its broken) transmission is down but the engine went down with it..is this normal? tomorrow the mechanic will help us fix this...we have to move the trans. to the rear to let it slip down enough to replace the part...tomorrow my car may be on the road again...
