Me/Mines/Mods

Name: Michael Brady
Mines: N/A because I currently do not own a vehicle.
Mods:N/A

Plans:

I plan to purchase a three-door hatchback or two-door notchback AE86 Toyota Corolla. After repairing whatever needs fixing and performing maintainence I will be doing a mild, yet complete buildup. I am on a quest for 200 normally-aspirated horsepower. The 20V engine transplant is under consideration at the moment although no decisions have been made. Suspension upgrades will include springs, dampers, strut tower braces, and possibly a few other goodies. I do plan on installing a new ring/pinion as well as a LSD from either Cusco, ATS, or KAAZ. The exterior will recieve a new front/rear bumper treatment, sideskirts, small fender flares, and possibly a Levin front end conversion. The interior will be recieving a new set of bucket seats, a rollcage, shirt shifter, and some other bits. So, hopefully, you all will help me on my path to financial distruction.

BTW-I plan on getting some sweet old school wheels for it too!

You said you were not new to the scene in a privious post and damn I can see that you are all you say you are. Welcome.

200HP is a big goal but if you got the money then all the power to ya. But I take it that your gonna do this in stages? I think a project like this may cost $40,000 CND plus if you want to do it right.

My goal is 150HP but I expect to reach it over a 4 year period. I could do it in 2 but I wanna go to college. Getting the actuall HP isn't really that expensive. But whe you get into modifying your tranny and suspension.... ouch my wallet. The suspension kit I want is $6,000 CND. Unless some one know if I can get a fully customisable suspension for the front and back cheaper.

Are you gonna rip out the interior or are you gonna keep it in?

200 naturally aspirated horsepower is a big goal even with the 20v - reminds me of the $100000 project on Club4ag. But good luck with it man, you'll have the first 200hp 86 on TN .

Thanks everyone for all the warm welcomes . . . I know the 200 horsepower goal is a tall order, but that's why it's a goal. If we all set goals that were easily obtainable we'd never get anywhere. Especially in this scene.

my goal is to master the car, know the characteristics, know the limits of your car, know how fast you can throw it in a corner without flipping it

by doing so u will truly appreciate the affect from your modifications

200HP in a 86 sounds scary to me, at least 150 is good enough for me
