hey guys just thought i'd let u know that i've now found the car i've been looking for and i only paid 1000 USD for it at first i was going to purchase a AE92 SR5 it was blue and stick but it came with carbs:/ but relatively low miles with only 140000 and it was 2400, not bad for an 88. but i held out and found on club 4ag's site a nice 1988 AE92 red with intrax springs, tokico struts, new brakes and a blue sway bar up front and red in the rear, not sure what kind those are but the guy said that they are aftermarket(the guy who owned it before him installed them) also its short shifted and with a grant steering wheel and trueno front end with the lights too. the bad is that the paint needs to be redone, in fifth gear if u let off the gas it pop out so u have to hold it in while driving in 5th, it has 206,000 miles and it just barely didn't pass smog(needs the EGR cleaned and timing retarded a lil more) and the tires rub sometimes. other than that its a pretty clean car for 1000 and after i polished it up and gave it a good wash the paint doesn't look to bad, the red matches its black steelies hehe atleast until i get it some rims just thought i'd let everyone know
now on list:
MKIII supra
Gen 3 camry
AE92 GTS corolla
and i used to have an AW11 next up will be a GT4 in like a couple years

Welcome to the board and congratulations for the car. I'm happy our number of AE92 is increasing in the board and even in the meets..
Again welcome to the board karma, I'm an owner of a 1990 AE92 SR5 and I love my car inside out, I've babied it since I bought it and it was in pretty rough shape when I first got it, but it all comes in time....

Celica brake upgrade would be cool, DAMN I need to get my ass in gear and get the body work and shit done. Gotta find a good shop in town here. probably just wait till winter now though. The They can keep it all winter to do the body. hehehe... They can store it for me.... then I don't have to find a place to park it.
Thanks for the links to those sites Karma!!!!!I know the second site and visit it often. The webmaster is very cool.He gave me some info for my brake swap!!!!!

yeah i know both web site owners for the second one(the GTS and the S/C Sedan) are both pretty kewl and knowledgable. the first site i linked, that guy is kewl as hell, i wrote him with a question about the upgrade and if the diameter of the discs on the 89 celica was larger than the GTS and he wrote me within an hour like 10 paragraphs on the write up and totally answered all my questions(cept the diameter of the rotors, he didn't know cuz he doesn't own a GTS he owns a DX sedan) yup after i get the new clutch and tranny in the next upgrade is celica brakes
if u check out nopionline.com they have a lot of choices on rotors and pads! plus they're relatively cheap, i'd say less than 150 for aftermarket slotted/crossdrilled rotors all the way around and the pads are only like 70 for all corners man i can't wait to have crazy braking power like that
