I wonder who it is at Toytota that decides on the colour of the instrumentation lighting. I mean The guages on 03 to 05 are orange and white, and then the rest of the controls are green? I can kinda understand the 03 to 04 LE with white face guagues that light up blue/green. But now in 05 you got the Lexus Optitron Electronic Guages (very nice) on LE and XRS which are red and white yet the console is still green. Oh and then of course with the red and white there is blue lighting for the odometer window. It's just kinda strange that nothing matches.

The green/blue lighting is suppose to perserve your eyes night (low light) sight. But with all the bright street lights I do not know if it makes a difference.

I agree. Someone needs to take a page from the VW playbook onf dash design.
