My 98 Corolla Is Roaring

I bought a 1998 Toyota Corolla Back in november and the car is in excellent condition, but i am a busy person and never have time to warm it up before i use it in the morning and it had been very cold here in nyc for the past few months, I have been Notcing the that engine is roaring more that it used too when i turn it on, Could this be in result of me not warming it up?

I doubt it but could be wrong
Try some higher octane gas and some fuel injector cleaner and burn that crude out of the engine

Could be a crack somewhere in the exhaust system.. that's how they always start.

I have the same thing with the engine being loud when you first start it in the cold.

the noise usually goes away when i go into R or Drive.. when its not that cold. it goes away completely after driving it a while

Yes that will happen considering the fact that when you start driving the car cold, the lubricants and oils in the car do not completely start flowing. As a result, driving with the engine temperature cold will cause more meta-to-metal friction. Therefore, the engine will sound rougher and it will feel unhappy to rev even up to 3000 rpm.
