AE86 my car is finally back on the road!

After months of being on jack stands my car is finally driving around again. I replaced my diff with a rebuilt one, got a new wheel bearing, and put in a AE92 cup holder . After I installed it, I took it to an alignment specialty shop and the aligned it perfectly. I should have done that in the first place. only problem is that the gasket b/w the pumkin and axle housing isn't doing its job. my fault. so I'm leaking gear oil. Is there anything I can do to seal it from the outside or do I have to take everything apart again? probably the later, I'm just giving it a shot.

The whole problem started with the lowering. it offcentered my rear axle. first problems were my sway bar links snapping. So I got an adjustable panhard rod. It made it better, but didn't fix it. After a while the stress on my diff was too much and it started to whine loudly. So the moral of my story is, do you're research before doing anything aftermarket. It could throw everything out of whack. most of you probably already know this.

I'm just glad to be driving my 86 again.

take it apart and get everything cleaned up, run a magnet on a stick all through the housing and smear black silicone on the diff housing real good and pop it together and let it dry

I know lots of people who had lowered their AE86 before adjustable panhard rods were sold in north america? Did you get the T3 ones? Road noise is inevitable with those ones.

My diff is whining like mad as well. Still functional and I don't plan on fixing it anytime soon. If your 15 year old car isn't making at least some noise, then you have to start worrying.

yeah, lowered it 1" in the front, 1.3" in the rear. got a whiteline panhard rod from PDM-racing. I think it was around $80-100
